Producer Matt Interrupt from Reggae Roast soundsystem has teamed up with south London MCs Deemas J and Mista Jago for their upcoming full length album ‘We Don’t Stop’ which is due for release in late April 2023 on Interrupt Music.

The first single Rollercoaster Ride releases on March 31st, and features Deemas J taking the lead vocal in falsetto style reminiscent of singers such as Junior Murvin and Cedric Congo. The lyrics talk of the struggles of life in the ghetto and the perpetual cycle of poverty that faces many youths growing up in situations of economic hardship - The ‘Rollercoaster Ride’ of poverty which so many try to escape from.

Deemas J’s unique vocal style is complemented with Mista Jago’s ragga influenced MC style, telling the tale of Johnny, a ghetto youth stuck in a perpetual cycle of poverty and crime.

Produced by Interrupt, with additional production from Joy (King’s Hifi), the two producers have teamed up to build an updated version of the ‘Hey Mr Cop’ riddim, featuring a deep and heavy bassline on a tough minor key digital style riddim, along with a heavyweight dub version.
